There is a known problem between the most recent Windows Update (which probably ran automatically on your system) and Zone Alarm products.
To restore your access and browser (even if you're not using Zone Alarm) go to:
Control Panel –> Add/Remove Programs –> Check the box "Show Updates" (at the top of the window, above the list of installed programs) –> Scroll to the update "Security update for Windows (KB951748)" –> Check the box beside this update –> Click Remove to uninstall the windows update.
Restart your computer to complete the uninstall process.
After restart, your browser will work again (at least until that windows update installs itself again)…
If you are using a Zone Alarm Product, you must install a fix from the Zone Alarm support page:
http://download.zonealarm.com/bin/free/pressReleases/2008/LossOfInternetAccessIssue.html
Download the most recent versions of your product from this page.
Restart your computer.
When the Windows update installs again, you'll be ok.
Best,
Link was truncated….
Go to zonealarm.com –>support –> you'll see the link on the support pages

Ash is correct, it's not a question, and unfortunately yahoo will probably remove it because of it, HOWEVER it *is* very useful information and could possibly help someone doing a search without having to wait for an answer.
