I want to know the difference between the two. Right now I am running Vista x64 with 8gb of bios recognized ram installed. When I pull up msinfo32 it tells me that I do in fact have 8gb installed, but the total physical memory is 3.93gb. What is the difference between those two numbers, is my computer only using the 3.93 right now, and how am I able to take advantage of all 8gb?
I have not remapped it, I am not sure how to do that with my motherboard, I am going to be ordering the 680i in the next week or so and assuming it is easier to do on that one.
The bios I have now has almost no options for changing anything.
So how do you go about remapping?
I wasn't aware that it mattered; can you recommend one?

Yes ur computer is using only 3.93 GB !!
Did you enable the memory remap feature in BIOS? This will enable
Vista 64 to access all your 8 GB !!
by doing dis ur comp will take advantage from all ur 8 GB !!

the answer is in your question … you’re using msinfo32 …. a 32bit diagnostic tool … 32 bit will only recognise a max of 4gb ram … you need to check wth a 64bit application
