i want to disable Mcafee security edition from AOL but i don’t want to delete it. I want to keep it on the computer , without it taking up space on the task manager.
I am pretty good when it comes to working with the program but when it comes to doing anything outside programs and programming and the such it is too much for me.
I already disabled all the features within Mcafee but the program itself still comes up. What i want it to do is be an inactive program that only activates on command. For example, it starts up with the computer but when i disable it from starting at start up it still starts up….

Just turn off the McAfee anti-virus product altogether….there are settings on there that will allow you to do it….
