Yay, my subscription to Norton IS 2009 expires real soon. I am torn between Kaspersky IS 2010 or Avira. Which one is more recommended? Also, is there a big difference between Kaspersky Internet Security 2010 and Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2010? If I go with Kaspersky, which of the 2 should I get.
10 points to the best argument!!!
Darn, I should’ve mentioned that when it comes to my computer, I DO NOT mind paying for internet security, it is just that Norton has screwed me over one time too many. Long story.

I recommend ESET NOD32 Smart Security, it’s the best anti virus out there. It scans super fast, it has anti spam, anti virus, firewall, sysrescue, anti spyware, anti malware and more.
here is the direct link to view it [specs and features]:

you will love ESET it’s awesome, i use it myself, the great thing about it is that it only runs 2 processes, where other Anti viruses run up to 10!! Plus, it’s very light on RAM usage and only takes up 48 MB on your Hard Drive, it’s the best!!!

Since you can get Avira for free, I’d say it’s a no-brainer. You obviously aren’t into paying for a yearly subscription. Kaspersky is better than Norton, but it’s essentially the same boat that you’d be jumping into.

I never have been a fan of those so-called Security Suites. I like my security coming from various directions. I use Avast Anti-Virus and the Comodo Firewall (only) on all my computers and on my client’s computers (9 homes with both desktops and laptops) over the last few years and have never had a problem or hack with any of them. They are both free and continuiously updated.

I am using Avira Premium Security Suite and it’s great !
It’s easy to use, it eats less memory than Kaspersky, scanner and webguard are excellent, so i recomand Avira !
