Do I need to buy adware to rid my computer of spyware? What programs do you suggest?

June 29th, 2008 · 6 Comments

On the right hand corner of my computer screen there is an icon of a red circle with a white X inside of it warning me of spyware on my computer. I've downloaded Spybot Search and Destroy and another adware program but it's still popping up. How can I get rid of the pop-up and spyware? Does me clicking on the icon corrupt my computer further?

And mainly do I need to buy a adware program in order to fix the problem? What program should I buy? I already downloaded Spybot Search and Destroy and Spyware Blaster Setup and neither removed the pop-ups or the icon.

PLEASE HELP ME.

Hmmm. You might want to try something, like AdAware 2008, it has a comprehensive knowledge database and is made to fight spyware and adware. I would try Windows Defender also, it is pretty good. Or you can download the free version of avast! Anti-Virus.

Try CCleaner and read everything and keep what you want and delete the rest, read the help for more info. The red circle icon I am not familiar with but look in your start up file to see whats there running in the background. With the Pop-ups are they running in IE or mozzila? If it IE try Zoned out and IE-spyad from funky toad
