Do I need to uninstall Mess.8 to download Mess.9 and if you have it how do you like it ?

I like some of the features on the Mess. 9 but I’m so use to the Mess. 8. Not sure if I need to delete Mess. 8 to download Mess. 9 or if it installs over the old Mess. and do I need to reinstall old sounds for Mess. again.
