I have a new HP Pavilion that came with Microsoft 2007 Home & Student trial version, however I also have the Office software suite that I purchased from a brick & mortar store that I want to use. Do I uninstall the trial and then install the software, or can I just use the product key on the trial when it runs out? Thanks for any help.

It sound like the versions are not the same. I suspect merely entering the product key will not work because the versions do not appear to be the same.
Rather than try and have something backfire, I suggest removal of the old and install of the new.

Computer tech here….No, you have to un-install the trial version and install the one you purchased. The key code on your purchased software will not work on the trial version because these two are two different versions. Hope this helps.
