Does anybody know a software where I can choose any screen resolution for my monitor?

I have a laptop with a wide screen LCD monitor. It's maximun and native resolution is very high (1680×1050). Besides this, there's no other wide screen resolution who fits my screen among the windows vista options. I would like to know if anybody here knows some software who will allow me to chosse a better resolution for my screen (1280×800 por example).
