Does anyone know of a free ram cleaner that works with Vista?

July 18th, 2008 · 1 Comment

Supposedly the VISTA Memory kernel knows how or when to "flush" your used memory in your page file. However, my memory is running at 70% utilized all the time and I need to figure out a solution to make it work besides just buying more memory.

Disable the Superfetch service. That's what sucks up all the RAM.

Regardless, you need at least 1.5 MB RAM minimum to run Vista. I have my Superfetch disabled but I've heard it's not necessary. Vista uses Superfetch to load DLLs and stuff that you use often so they load faster when you do need them.
