does Avast Free (home edition) downloads updates automatically like AVG?? If not, how can I update Avast? Please tell me I dont know what to do.

Yes Avast automatically updates. I have had it for 3 years and every morning the first voice i hear is "Virus Database has been updated". It is like a part of my morning routine hearing it, if I didnt hear that I would think that I am in the wrong house.

Yeah its automatically download updates if you are a member or with license. How to get license number, go to avast website, register and get license number, copy and paste it to your avast anti virus. I'm using avast for 4 consecutive years and it works I have no problem in virus.
