Have Incredimail XE on my old computer with XP. Never had any problems with Incredimail on it. Just got a new lap top with Vista home premium - 64bit/sp1, will incredimail work with this build?
I know Incredimail now says Incredimail will work with the Vista 32bit. Does that mean it will work with the 64bit? What is the difference. I had a guy at circuit city tell me that the 64bit will work with all programs that are vista compatable. Was he telling the truth. I'd hate to screw up a new computer if he was wrong.

I went to the Incredimail "version details" web page. According to Incredimail, their Version 5.70 build 3446 (Major Version) released on February 26, 2008 provided Vista support but was NOT fully compatible with 64 bit Vista.

No other version / build released since that date indicates full compatibility with 64 bit Vista. Nor could I find any specific information from Incredimail as to exactly what they mean when they say it's "not fully compatible". You might want to contact customer support for additional information.

This Microsoft article explains the difference between 32 bit and 64 bit Vista. It also says that some 32 bit programs might run on a 64 bit computer but you could experience driver problems. They also say if you have a 64-bit computer, it's best to run programs designed to run on a 64-bit computer.
