I used to have IE but I recently downloaded Firefox. The only thing is that I can't view videos or chat on Yahoo mail because it says I don't have Flash Player. I tried to download it a lot of times from the link it gives me to the Adobe website but it never works. I also tried to download it from other websites. I searched for solutions on Yahoo Answers and tried almost everything…I even uninstalled it and tried to reinstall it but it still doesn't work. When I try to install it, it says "You have chosen to open install_flash_player.exe which is a: binary file from: http://fpdownload.macromedia.com and then it gives me two options: save file and cancel. I click save file but it never downloads. Please help…thanks! I have Windows Vista.

It is possible you went to the download page for the wrong browser. Let's fix your problem.
Step 1: go here http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/download.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=shockwaveFlash
Step 2: click download, and when it appears, click Save!
Step 3: when it is finished saving, click open, or run.
Step 3a: if this does not work, find the file and doubleclick it.
Step 4: click through all the agreements and whatnot
Step 5: done.

I don't know if fpdownload.macromedia.com is working. Blåck's answer should work. It's a small file so if you have a fast connection the download window will just be a flash (if you have it set to close when done). I'd just say make sure you're saving it somewhere easy to find like the desktop.

You can only install flash player again, after you uninstalled it.
There lies the problem. Flash player cannot be uninstalled the way other software is uninstalled. Because you cannot really uninstall it, you cannot install it.
I found this website and with its help you can fix your problem.
I know, because it worked for me and now 6 others this morning who had the same problem and asked Yahoo Answers for help. I was able to help them too
