Downloading Spyware Doctor to Remove IE Antivirus. Do I have to Reboot My Computer or leave it as is?

August 31st, 2008 · 6 Comments

I really can’t reboot my computer. It’s a family computer and if I reboot the computer I’ll lose everything.

So what programs can you install that remove this and not reboot your computer?

HELP the IE ANTIVIRUS IS ANNOYING!!!
I have Norton Security but it doesn't pick up the IE Antivirus.

And I haven't really downloaded anything. Except to remove this IE but it won't.

You wont lose anything if you reboot the computer, all your doing is restarting the computer. Chances are it will ask to restart the computer, so that in can remove in the infection.

Now if you formated and reinstalled windws, then you would lose stuff, but not by rebooting/restarting the computer.

Rebooting shouldn’t be a problem as long as the work is saved or has been copied to a safe location away from the virus.
I suggest downloading a copy of the FREE virus program AVG
I use it myself and it will not require a restart after doing a system scan.
Although after installing most programs it will ask for a restart anyway so trying to backup your work would be better than downloading programs in the first place.
      Good luck

almost all the software you install, you have to restart your computer. And restart your computer, you won’t loss any thing in your computer.

      hope this will help.

The easiest way to fix it is using Malwarebyte’s Anti-Malware (Download it, update it, do a full scan, and remove everything it finds).

I would also recommend the following programs to make sure that you don’t get infected again in the future:
      Spybot - Search & Destroy
      Avira AntiVir Personal
      Spyware Doctor Starter Edition

You are infected with spyware if:

      * You see too much pop-up advertisements.
      * Your browser has toolbars that you haven’t installed.
      * Your homepage has changed (and you can’t change it back).
      * Other settings have changed without your permission.
      * Your computer is slow.

To get rid of spyware and keep your computer clean you can use an antispyware or even more.
You can download a antispyware software. There are 10 good anti-spywares.

You can download one and scan your system.
All are safe and can be trusted.
