editing the yahoo toolbar?

I have downloaded the yahoo toolbar. I presently have what appears to be the default buttons. I wish to eliminate many of these and add others. I have gone to the add/edit buttons page. Clicked off various buttons that I want to remove. Clicked on various buttons that I want to add. Clicked on the save preferences button and nothing happens. I tried clicking on refresh toolbar but there are no changes to the toolbar. I am using Firefox 3.0.1 for my browser.
