im getting an error when i downloaded itunes 7.7, is anyone else getting this? btw, i have windows xp
im reinstalling the new itunes…btw, wat happens to my old itunes?
how will i know if i downloaded the new one or if i still have the old one?
how will i find out when the new firmware is up and ready for people to download? will i find out on the apple website? also, can i use a debit card to pay for the new update?
will i be able to see if the update is running on apples website or do i have to plug in my ipod to see if the update is running?
would u happen to know wat the EXACT time the new firmware will come out for the ipod touch in vancouver, bc, canada?
wat time is it in california right now anyways?
ok well its the same time here so i guess i will wake up at 8 am to update my ipod on itunes…o i cant wait! im gonna get the facebook app, btw, does the facebook app on app store need wifi?

No, I did at first but I got the latest quicktime and then the installation was a breeze

ur old iTunes will be deleted, your library will be exactly where it was in your last iTunes version so don't worry!

Nope all fine for me maybe go and download it again… Remember to download it from the iTunes page on apple.com
EDIT: iTunes 7.7 will just overwrite from where 7.6 was so your music and videos etc will still be there. So it'll be fine.
EDIT 2: In iTunes go to the tab up the top called help then go to About iTunes, a windows should pop-up give it a few seconds and it will tell you what version.
EDIT 3: On your iPod Touch Status page in iTunes you'll just click on top of restore it will say check for update, all you need to do is click that. Yes you will be able to use a debit card.
EDIT 4: To my knowledge it should appear on both iTunes and on the website, but I'm not completely sure about appearing on the website… I suggest you leave your Touch connected to the computer and check every now and again.
EDIT 5: Well I'm in Australia, but i've heard it will come out at sometime between now and 8am (USA Time)
EDIT 6: Although I'm not 100% sure i think it will be 8AM California Time.
EDIT 7: Ahh its 1:26AM in California now.
EDIT 8: Yeah me to. Yes it will need wifi.
EDIT 9: 2.0 HAS BEEN RELEASED! (sorry for caps). Not in australia yet.
