error installing antivirus software can someone help?

I am trying to install avg antivirus but as soon as it is just nearly finished i get an error message saying:
Local Machine: installation failed
Installation:
Error: Action failed for file license_us.txt: creating file…
File opening failed
Error 0xe001042c

Does anyone know why this is or what to suggest

Any help would be gratefully appreciated

Did you uninstall the previous version?
Download ccleaner http://www.vnunet.com/vnunet/downloads/2128975/ccleaner-14
Download latest AVG or AVAST
http://www.vnunet.com/vnunet/downloads/2129071/avg-antivirus-free-edition
http://www.vnunet.com/vnunet/downloads/2128339/avast-home-edition
Uninstall AVG from control panel, then run ccleaner
then AVG or AVAST that you downloaded
