Error: regutils.dll in JAVA installation?

I had java 6u11. while accessing the control panel java applet it said there is a problem in opening the java menu so program ‘ll exit. so i removed java via add and remove programs and then downloaded java 6u15 via firefox(3.5) and while installing it says "extraction error". I had a back up of the setup file java 6u11 and so i tried installing that but it said " error regutils.dll". I verified that in system32 but it existed. also downloaded regutils.dll and replaced it. But still i have the same error. what shall i do now??? How o install JAVA
