i was browsing the internet and when i was finnished, i closed off the window, then all of a sudden 10000 more kept popping up outta no where! this has happened to me a few times, apparently norton antivirus 2008 isnt enough to fix this problem as i’ve run several scans already… steups! its annoying me now and i’d like to get to the bottom of this once and for all…. can someone tell me what is going on and recommmend a way that i can fix it.

you need to download and update a decent anti-spyware and anti-virus program. I recommend using AVG free from free.grisoft.com.

You have been infected with a nasty malware which has damaged IE (at least). Your security soft has failed to do it’s job.
First do an online scan and clean with http://www.bitdefender.com/scan8/ie.html AND http://www.ewido.net/en/onlinescan/
Now it’s time to replace that miserable insecurity software that you use; download the installers for
browser - http://www.opera.com/ - use this instead that malware magnet IE
antivirus - http://www.avast.com/ replace the Norton crap
antispyware - http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=435BFCE7-DA2B-4A6A-AFA4-F7F14E605A0D&displaylang=en/

firewall - http://www.personalfirewall.comodo.com/

Unplug the internet line, uninstall the junk and install these (if
necessary in safe mode) one by one with each necessary reboot done.
Reconnect the line and update them (Spybot has it manual).
That’s all. Now admire how fast and safe (only if you never use IE again) your pc is.
