Try booting into safemode and then uninstalling it. It should let you uninstall it since it isn't able to keep itself from getting deleted.

Download this, don't change any settings and run it:
http://www.ccleaner.com/
Now use this, set it to "advanced", and rip AVG out of your system:
http://www.revouninstaller.com/
Delete everything that comes up in bold print.

disable AVG and try it again.you do this by going to the tool tray icon and right click to open the window and choose exit/disable or what ever it says.after its been disabled and shut down,then proceede with the uninstall.
