Firefox Aim Search….?

August 7th, 2008 · 2 Comments

I have Firefox on my laptop and desktop computers. On my laptop if i want to go to google.com, on the address bar i’d only need to write “google”..no “www.” or “.com”…it automatically recognized it. On my desktop i hav a newer version of firefox, instead of going straight to google it goes to an aim search engine powered by google. My question is, is there any way to change the aim search back to google search such as my laptops? It’s super irritating

      1. Browse normally to the web page you want as your home page.

      2. Pull down the “Tools” menu of Firefox.

      3. Select “Options.”

      4. Click on the “General” tab, if it is not the first to appear.

      5. You’ll see the “Home Page” box at the top.

      6. Click the “Use Current Page” button in that box.

      7. Click “OK.”

      8. Close and open Firefox. You should see your new home page.
