Firefox and IE crash after Norton 360 uninstall?

After I uninstalled Norton 360 (using the Norton Removal Tool) Firefox and IE crashes. I double click Firefox to open it and it immediately crashes and asks me to send an error report.
I forgot and didn't uninstall Norton 360 in safe mode but in "regular mode"
Should i run Vista in safe mode and use the Removal tool again to make sure it uninstalled everything Norton related?
- I tried to do a system restore and didn't work.
I'm also thinking the Registry probably got screwed.
And i think formatting the whole computer will fix the problem.
