Firefox and Internet Explorer open links in double tabs.?

September 19th, 2008 · 2 Comments

When I click on a link, mainly in Firefox, it is opening in my currently open tab, as well as a new tab in the same window. I’m also having trouble when I click on buttons such as the “Log In” button on MySpace, and the “Remember Me” button on MySpace and several others of that sort.

I have restarted my computer several times. I defragmented it. I ran a virus scan, which came up with nothing.

None of this has helped.

Is it my PC? Or could it possibly be my mouse?

What could be the problem?

mayb because you have save the last session work in firefox.

As for the “log in” problem, mayb the page content is not load properly during transferring of data of webpage or either the webmaster/developer not arrange the layout properly.

One thing to to check is to make sure that you are not double clicking the mouse when you need to only single click. Or if you are impatient and click a second time while the page is loading… and then you have two pages open. You could try another mouse that you know works well to check if the problem is your mouse.

Re: Firefox automatically opens two pages when it starts, any way to stop this?
click edit-preferences and select main. In the startup where it says when firefox starts select show blank page and restart firefox. this time it should start in normal mode now change back to the show my home page in the prefernnces and you are done
