Firewall Problem With Bitdefender.. What Should I Do?

July 2nd, 2008 · 1 Comment

Hi I'm running Windows XP and today I installed Bitdefender Total Security 2008. All was going well, during installation I chose to disable Windows Firewall and activated the Bitdefender firewall instead.

Soon afterwards, I got a message saying that there was some kind of security error. So I went to the Security Center, which informed me that 'Bitdefender firewall reports that it is currently turned off' and that I have no firewall active. When I went to Bitdefender and checked the Settings, it informed me that the BD firewall is currently enabled.. ??

Can someone explain to me what's happened? Thanks a lot.

Go back to your security center as there is a check +off for other firewall. Check off and your security center will ignore the firewall that it does not recognize.
