I'm using windows xp. My firewall was not turned off by me or anyonelse. It wont let me turn it on because Windows Security Center has not started or stopped. I restarted my computer and opened the security center, but its coming up the same message. What should I do to acess the firewall?

You could try an alternative firewall, such as Zone Alarm — which is better than the built in XP firewall. However, we still need to find out what's causing the problem your having.
For this, I suggest you visit http://www.techsupportteam.org/forum/ register, then post in the 'Malware Removal' forum where I will be able to assist you better.

to turn on security ctr
start>run> type in services.msc
go 2 security center>rt clik it>under startuptype set it to automatic then clik on start
go 2 windows firewall and do the same
i would also consider getting a 3rd party firewall

online armor firewall
i would also consider doing some scans w/ antimalware products i am not sure if u have any on ur machine or not if u need links repost

Please don't worry yourself about Windows built in firewall. Windows firewall is not a true firewall. You only are getting one way protection from incoming rouge packets. None of your personal data in your PC is protected. A true firewall must be two ways in and out protection.
Download the free version of Zone Alarm, free for home personal use. http://www.zonealarm.com Look under home in the URL, for the free version and download . All new versions are downloaded auto. over the old versions.
Now you will have two way protection, from incoming rogue packets and all of your personal data will never leave your PC without your permission.
I use the free version myself.
