I know as soon as you see "IEXPLORE.EXE" you're going to say "lol that's just internet explorer."
But this is not simple ie. It's either ie going nuts or some sort of trojan (?) disguised with that name. Randomly, it will come up in my processes tab when I have open task manager, taking up 99 in the CPU column. I have to then end the task until it stops coming back for awhile. It ALWAYS comes when I start the computer up, also.
When it is going, any game I'm playing, program I'm running, runs at rock-bottom speeds. I'll get under 1 frame per second in 3d games, for example.
I REALLY would love some suggestions on how to get rid of this.
I cannot see anything odd running when IEXPLORE.EXE is on and can only tell it's there by the massive slowdown and it taking up 99 CPU in task manager.
internet explorer works fine, I really don't think it's internet explorer doing damage itself.
And I use firefox. Always. I still get this problem.
