I’m getting an Icon in the TaskBar that looks like it’s from the Windows Security Center, but its from this fakie looking security software company. I don’t need it, but I can’t get rid of it. It’s not in my Program Files, or on the Add/Remove Software icon in Control Panel. It always comes back! How do I get rid of it.
BTW, right clicking does nothing, Can’t uninstall from Ctrl Panel, or from Program Files. You wouldn’t believe how many people put those steps when I say I already did, so please don’t put these, I’ve already checked, and It’s not there.

This may help a bit…
Aside from removing what malware may already be installed on your system, you must turn off 3rd party cookies. This keeps un-requested cookies (pop-ups) from being displayed in your browser.
For Internet Explorer: go to Tools> Internet Options> Privacy> Advanced: here check ‘Override automatic….’ ‘Allow session cookies’ ‘Allow 1st party cookies’ & ‘Block 3rd Party Cookies’.
For Firefox: go to Tools> Options> Privacy: here un-check ‘Accept 3rd Party cookies’
Junk embedded into your system will have to be extracted with Spybot, Ad Aware, and all available cleaners. Good luck.
