Will old games like WoW and Diablo work for Vista? And is there a site where i can test my laptop to see if it can play certain games? Because i wanted to know if i can play Halo 2 on my laptop but wasnt sure my specs were right.
My processer is 1.73 Ghz i have 2038 Ram and i dont have a video card hookup just the one that came with the comp i think it is direct x 10.
P.S. I have a Dell Inspiron 1525
Do you know any fun RTS games that will work on my laptop?

Old games most likely will not work on Vista because it’s sucks. I tried to play Battlefield 2 and it’s not even that old and it wouldn’t work. Some games do work, like Everquest 2 and Guildwars are working, and Sim City Societies and The Movies. But not freakin’ Battlefield, which is a bummer. You’ll probably just have to test it out. Vista is pretty unpredictable and lame.

srtest.com will tell you if you’re games are compatible.
Also, WoW and Diable should run on Vista. If not you can MAKE them compatible, by right clicking the game and going into properties. And then, changing the compatibilty mode to “Windows XP/2000″. If that also doesn’t work, disable anything Vista-specific, in the “compatibilty” screen. Take note, not ALL games work. But most do, as far as I’ve tested. Good luck.

Hi I have the same kind of computer and system. Most games more than two or three years old work, but are unpredictable or slow. Personally I can play sims 2, the guild 2, and medieval total war, plus alot of abandonware games (DOS and such, look up DosBox to make them work). Just install Halo and try it out. The specs should be on the game’s box, just check before you buy.
