A computer wiz I am not. I have this error and for the life of me cannot find a way to re-install it. I get the message when I try to open my Windows Live Messenger, or when I try to download windows on-care. I tried re-installing it and have tried every website I can think of.
Msmsgs.exe - Unable to Locate Component

I did all the windows updates and checked every site I could find. Please help if you can.

Microsoft Windows 98, Microsoft Windows 98 Second Edition and Microsoft Windows Millennium Edition (Me)
1. Click Start, point to Settings, then click Control Panel.
2. Double-click System.
3. Click Performance tab, and then click Graphics.
4. Hardware acceleration slider to a tooth to move to Georgia to the left of the current settings.
5. Click OK, then click Close.
6. When you are prompted to restart your computer, click Yes.
7. Test to see issue whether is resolved. If the problem continues to occur, repeat steps 1-6 until you are free to visit the set, or the problem has been resolved.
Microsoft Windows 2000 or Microsoft Windows XP
1. In Windows 2000, click Start, point to Settings, then click Control Panel.
In Windows XP, click start, and then click Control Panel.
2. Double-click show.
3. Click the Settings tab, click Advanced, then click the Troubleshooting tab.
