How do you uninstall Genuine Microsoft Software? Every time I turn on my computer, a message comes up and says you're Genuine Microsoft Software has expired. And I am given 2 options, Resolve now , or to resolve later. Everyday when I access my computer, I have to press resolve. Then after a while in the middle when I play a game, a little message on the screen pops up and says my Genuine Microsoft Software has expired once more. Even when I turn off my computer, the message says "You're Genuine Microsoft Software has expired". This program is getting on my nerves. I cannot find a way to uninstall it either. It always say I have to purchase it.
Is there a way to uninstall Genuine Microsoft Software?
I also checked the Add/Remove, but there was no Genuine Microsoft Software on the list. I double checked.

You don't want to uninstall that otherwise you uninstall the whole progra,. What Genuine Microsoft Software is, it's to make sure that your software is all legal and not pirated. I would suggest going here for help, otherwise I'd go to the windowsupdate web site and download any important updates.

hmm I think there's no such Microsoft genuine software expiration even if you have it it'll never pop up you with a message saying it expired, maybe it's a trial you downloaded and installed someday, anyway scan your computer maybe it's a virus or spyware.

here is the process:-
first modify ur start menu by going in properties of start menu
then start menu-all programmes-accessories-system tools-system restore
now restore ur pc whenever u install this shit..
bt remember it would uninstall all other softwares which u install on and after that date…….
although the process is reversible……….

Manually uninstall WGA Notifications
1. Log on to the computer by using an account that has administrative permissions.
2. Make sure that the WGA Notifications version that exists on the computer is a pilot version. The version format for the pilot version is 1.5.0532.x. In this case, you can uninstall versions 527-532 only. For example, you can uninstall versions that range from 1.5.0527.0 to 1.5.0532.2. To find the WGA Notifications version, follow these steps:
a. Click Start, and then click Control Panel.
b.Double-click Add or Remove Programs, click Windows XP - Software, click Windows Genuine Advantage Notifications, and then click Click here for support information.
NOTE:
If Windows Genuine Advantage Notifications does not appear, the release version is installed. You cannot uninstall the release version of WGA Notifications.
c.In the Support Info dialog box, verify the version number, and then click Close.
3. Rename the following files by changing the extension to .old:
* Rename %Windir%\system32\WgaLogon.dll to %Windir%\system32\WgaLogon.old
* Rename %Windir%\system32\WgaTray.exe to %Windir%\system32\WgaTray.old
(to rename….go to c: ……click windows,then find the folder system32…then find the WgaLogon.dll and change its extension to .old and also to WgaTray….change its extension to .old)
4. Restart the computer.
5. Unregister LegitCheckControl.dll by using Regsvr32. To do this, follow these steps:
1. Click Start, click Run, type cmd, and then click OK.
2. At the command prompt, type the following, and then press ENTER:
Regsvr32 %Windir%\system32\LegitCheckControl.dll /u
(check the space between Regsvr32 to % and the space between .dll to /u)
(it can have an error if you can’t type this in right form)
6. Restart the computer.
7. Click Start, click Run, type cmd, and then click OK.
8. At the command prompt, delete the following files by typing the Del command. Press ENTER after you type each command.
* Del %Windir%\system32\wgalogon.old
* Del %Windir%\system32\WgaTray.old
* Del %Windir%\system32\LegitCheckControl.dll
(check again the spaces…..between Del to %)
9. At the command prompt, type regedit.
10. Locate and then right-click the following registry subkeys. Click Delete after you locate each subkey.(delete only the last subkeys….which is the WgaLogon and WgaNotify)
* HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsNT\ CurrentVersion\Winlogon\Notify\WgaLogon
* HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows \CurrentVersion\Uninstall\WgaNotify

You people are being scammed so badly!!! Who ever sold you the pc are either software pirates or got the pc from software pirates. Do not believe who ever sold u the pc when they say that this is a microsoft update. Report them to the police IMMEDIATELY To fix your problem contact microsoft. Yes they will charge u money but if u don’t fix it quickly ur pc can go into reduced functionality mode which is like pc lockdown. No u may not remove the little blue sticker. What ever software that removes it for you is highly ILLEGAL. Also the method posted on this forum is also illegal. I’m sorry but the only thing that can help you is contacting microsoft. Yes they might ask u to buy another copy of windows (I hate that response too) but it’ll be worth it in the long run. If you’re brave, sue the people who sold you the pc.

solution:
1) LAUNCH WINDOWS TASK MANAGER.
Delete The Folder “WgaLogon” and all of its component.
2) End wgatray.exe Process In Task Manager.
3) Restart System In Safe Mode.
4) Delete wgatray.exe from c:\Windows\System32.
5) Delete wgatray.exe from c:\Windows\System32\dllcache.
6) Launch RegEdit.
7) Browse the following key HKEY_LOCALMACHINE\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\WINDOWSNT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\Notify.
9 ) Reboot System.

I got rid of the one for microsoft system, restoring the system for a previous time. But hey, the update must have a name that can be removed, it’s our computer and not microsofts’ which mean we should be able to decide for ourselves what to put ion it.

One message display on my desktop . it is ” you may be a victim of software counterfeiting . this copy of windows did not pass genuine windows validation ask for Microsoft software ” . please help me to delete genuine Microsoft software from my desktop

How do you uninstall Genuine Microsoft Software? Every time I turn on my computer, a message comes up and says you’re Genuine Microsoft Software has expired. And I am given 2 options, Resolve now , or to resolve later. Everyday when I access my computer, I have to press resolve. Then after a while in the middle when I play a game, a little message on the screen pops up and says my Genuine Microsoft Software has expired once more. Even when I turn off my computer, the message says “You’re Genuine Microsoft Software has expired”. This program is getting on my nerves. I cannot find a way to uninstall it either. .
Is there a way to uninstall Genuine Microsoft Software?
I also checked the Add/Remove, but there was no Genuine Microsoft Software on the list. I double checked.
