I recently purchased a Belkin N wireless router. I had it working with my Compaq laptop running Windows XP and using 128 bit WEP encryption. However, my daughter's Toshiba laptop runs Vista, and it won't work with WEP encryption. I had to switch the router to run WPA-2 encryption. Now the Vista Toshiba works fine, but I can't get the Windows XP laptop to connect. I have upgraded to XP SP3, which was supposed to let me connect using WPA-2 encryption but it isn't working. Perhaps I am missing some setting I should be changing. The Compaq with Windows XP does locate the network fine, but won't connect. Any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated.
I tried what you suggested: I went to Device Manager, right clicked on the wireless card. But there is no setting I can find for Wireless Network, only tabs for General, Advanced, Driver, Details, Resources and Power Management. Should I be looking somewhere else?

Go to your wireless card and right click then choose properties then choose wireless network tap. Then delete on your prefered networks remeove everything there.
Then try to connect your wireless and when asked you the key just put on.
