It looks like my computer has gotten a spyware for the first time in 3 years and I think i got a nasty one.. My browsers are unable to connect to any antivirus websites and redirects me to these annoying pop-up like websites whenever i try to go on ANY websites. I tried running various anti virus / spyware / malware but none of them seem to work. I want to avoid having to format my computer.. Anyone have any clue ?
Forgot to add, I can't update ANYTHING on any of the anti virus/spyware programs.. I am also unable to connect to microsoft support sites or any site that would be of help
system restore does NOT work and i believe its due to the spyware… I havent tried that software you metioned. ill try that one..

I know you think you have tried everything but have you tried Malwarebytes’ Anti-Malware, the basic version is free and really does works it found 80 spywear and adware on my computer and got rid of the lot!

can you do a restore program. It restores your computer to all the previous settings before the spyware may have been loaded.
if you go to control panel
–> system
–> system restore
that may help. It will allow you to run the computer without running the internet.
If that doesnt work, I know people who have tried the anti-malware program.

ok…im just presuming that you have windows XP…i had a similar problem..and i fixed it by: downloading a programe called windows defender (do this on a seperate PC if possible then move installation file to your computer)….then run the computer in safe mode and keep the internet disconnected…install windows defender
this will eliminate most of the problems you are having but may not get rid of all the spyware in your computer..that will need to be cleared somehow else…this will just put it at bay

Windows Defender would be your best bet. I had the same problem but then I did a whole delet and clean install I find that’s the best way to get rid of it.
