yes it would slow your system but only to scan each file in your pc, but its a good one and the slowing down is necessary to get every process to work..once you are done with scanning everything go back to normal

I've had it installed for years. My computer guru considers it the best and I agree. On the other hand, who's tried them all?

I use it and intend to change. It takes 4 hours to scan my 2 PCs, during which time they are unusable (100% CPU). When I told Trend support which files the scanner was struggling with, they told me to delete them.

yea it does really well it just cleaned up a virus from my comp and before it cleared up like 4 trojans and 2 spyware programs..
