when I do security ck it says Norton anti virus is off. Can someone explain why my pc says 2 different things.
went into security check in pc and it still says I have antivirus that is on, when I ck it says for spyware that windows and norton internet security are on but not anti-virus and when I hit turn on it doesnt change to on but goes to run norton, i say push yes and it closes out window and does nothing. I can get free Norton thru AT+T but before I download do I need to uninstall the Norton that came in pc? Or do I have antivirus and for some reason security just says that one thing is off but HP heath ck says all is on?

It is most likely that your PC Health check is not checking the STATE of Norton Internet Security but simply that you HAVE antivirus whereas the security check is actually checking that the antivirus software is on and up to date.

you can turn it off and on but id say its because it can no longer update maybe the reason
