Having problem with Symantec?

having problems with that stupid symantec crap!. a stupid window keeps popping up every 5 seconds saying “Your computer is at risk in the following areas:” and then below it says “virus protection is out of date”.

how do I get rid of this stupid pop up?

      update your definition file (best choice), or turn off notifications in preferences

      use the norton removal tool

      update your virus definitions

      Uninstall symantec. Symantec is a resource hog. I recommend AVG and Spybot search and destroy. I’ve tested many anti-malware programs and AVG and Spybot seem to work the best.
