I have an Inspiron 1521 with Vista. Today I found a box of old computer games (Baldur’s Gate, Lords of the Realm 2, NOX, Caesar II, etc) and figured I would give them a try. When I put the disc in, the auto-run box pops up and I am given the option to Install or Quit the program. When I click install, the window disappears and my computer hums for a little as if it is working, but then it goes silent and nothing happens.
I have tried changing the computability of the auto-run applications to older operating systems, but to no avail. I have read a bunch of articles about old games not running properly on Vista but can’t find anything about them not installing. Any/all help is greatly appreciated.
