hello i have a 97 ford ranger the fuse that controls backup and overdrive keeps blowing out please help?

the fuse will work for 2days to aweek before it blows someone said it could be a transmission switch ? i need help and thank you

      sounds like a short some where in the line, fallow the wires from the rear lights to the cab to look for any noticeable damage. my guess its probably something under the truck but knowing ford….
      also get a scanner and see if theres any codes probably not, but if its something in the tranny it may help pinpoint the source.
