You should have used the Add/Remove programs in Control Panel first then threw the Remaning folder in the trash.
      Then do this:
Get Malwarebytes’ free program at this link.
      http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/malware-removal/remove-antivirus-xp-2008
When you get there, scroll down the page until you see”Tools Needed for this fix:”
Then click the “Malwarebytes’ Anti-Malware” link to download the software.
      Install and update the program.
      Reboot into “Safe Mode”.
Then run the scanner and remove anything it finds.
      It worked for me.

      Well !
Go to Kaspersky home site and download Kaspersky 2009 internet security trial and scan throughly and find everything wrong!
      Voila!
Or you can get SUPERAntiSpyware Pro or free and scan (less effective but works a bit too)
Kaspersky for the note is the worlds best anti everything! that is bad!
      Voila and God Bless You
Also, getting a AVG internet security trial and scanning helps too but I personaly reccomend Kaspersky.
      God Bless You
Email me if ya cant still get rid of it! But that s about 2% if you use kaspersky to scan! =)

If you have an antivirus software like mcAfee it will clean the virus out and everything will work like normal again. otherwise you will have to delete windows and do a clean install which means you have to back up the whole computer and important files.

Ok i had this exact same problom.I think you might want to print/write these instructions down.

      What this programs does:

Antivirus XP 2008 is a new rogue anti-spyware program that is advertised through Trojans and other malware. It is advertised in the form of fake security alerts and warnings on web sites that state you are infected with malware or are being attacked in some manner. When you click on these ads, it will automatically download the installer for Antivirus XP 2008 and install it on your machine. In some cases, this program is installed without any intervention at all from you.

Once installed, Antivirus XP 2008 will scan your computer and display a variety of security risks found on your computer that can only be removed if you purchase a license of the software. These risks, though, are all fake and are only being displayed to scare you into thinking you are infected and thus purchase their software. Another tactic that Antivirus XP 2008, and the accompanied malware, uses is to change your desktop background to be a message stating you are infected, popups and fake alerts stating your computer is being attacked, and a fake Internet Explorer page that states Google has found your computer to be infected. All of these are further scare tactics and should be ignored. These methods are all illustrated in the images below.

AntiVirXP08, or Anti Vir XP 08,AntivirusXP2008, Antivirus XP 2008 is the latest rogue antispyware program. AntiVirXP08 is a clone of XP Antivirus or WinAntivirusPro. Usually AntiVirXP08 infection can come after fake video codec installation that can come with Trojan, malware or virus inside.
