Hi I have problems booting into my windows XP and i'm getting a hal.dll is missing error
Let me explain the situation
I have 2 partitions, 1 is C:\ and the other is D:\
Windows XP is installed in the D:\
C:\ drive was empty until I installed windows 7
Recently I deleted windows 7 (just went into disk management in XP and deleted the partition) but before that I inserted the windows 7 installation cd and typed F:\boot\bootsect.exe /nt52 ALL /force to remove the windows 7 boot manager, then I gave all the free space to my windows XP drive.
After that, I tried going into XP again but I got the hal.dll error.
Please tell me the problem. I was able to go into XP even before I installed windows 7, so why isn't it working now?
