Yesterday I installed Zune 4.0
Well. While I was trying to update my zune 80 I accidentally messed with the settings on the software and set it to premium graphics. Since my computer has some kind of trojan, The geek squad guy told us, I restarted the zune software and everything went black. So I tried to uninstall but since my control panel won’t open, I tried to do it manually. I went on every file on my computer and clicked delete (only on the ones that allowed me to open the zune software). Now I can’t reinstall it from zune.net because It’s telling me that the software is already on the computer and it’s up to date. What should I do? Please Help.
Don’t tell me to switch to ipod because everyone else in my family has one and i don’t feel like creating a play list every time i want to sync music.

This has never happened to me. I do believe that you can not update a Zune 80 gb on the new 4.0 software, but I could be wrong. You could always set your computer to an earlier time at start-up (you can google this for instructions.) Another option, is to download the 3.0 software and update straight from the software. A system recovery would be your last resort, even though it could get rid of the trojan. You could reinstall the files you deleted, and change the graphics, in a program called resource hacker. Finally, I hate iPods, but if worse comes to worse, you may be stuck to buying an iPod.
