Help! I'm getting a code 43 error for windows vista for my NVIDIA GeForce 8500 graphics card.?

August 1st, 2008 · 1 Comment

I was playing World of Warcraft when I came across an error and had to shut down my computer manually. Now my screen is at 640×480 with 4bits and whenever i change it, it goes back to this resolution.

I checked device manager and it says "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)"

There's not really a solution on Microsoft, only that it says i need to check hardware documentation.

What do i need to do to put it back to the way it was? I thought a system restore would help but it didn't. I also did a uninstall and re-downloaded the drivers online but that didn't help either. Help please! I'm out of solutions.

Thanks.

the last item it's been installed on your os has been the graphic card maybe it's not compatible, if you didn't had this problems previously.
