i uninstalled Norton that came with my computer as it had expired, and i foound vistaantivirus09 as a replacement and it found alot of viruses that norton did not. but when i click on remove it takes me to a site to buy the full version for 49.99. and my background flashes now telling me i have a virus. Should i go back with norton or is vista antivirus 09 a better choice as it is a microsoft prodect?
Ah one more this why on earth is that when i go on teh internet the first site it goes on is 1-800-search.com ?? even tho it used to go to my HP website before. thank you
I thought that vista antivirus 2009 was free but it is the same price as norton. but norton did not catch what this one caught.

VistaAntivirus09 is malware itself. It has been placed on your computer to scam you. It is NOT a Microsoft product, it is coded by criminals in Russia.
You must remove the infection causing these phony "warnings" Any virus that it finds are false-positives, intentional.
RogueRemover specialises in this type of crap:

The free version will be fine.
