June 22nd, 2008 · 1 Comment

I clicked on the mac os x leopard dmg file and the installation intro thingy loaded. It told me in order to start the installation, i had to press the restart button and the installation window would automatically show up. I've restarted my macintosh (powerbook G4) and nothings there!! what should I do to make the installation window appear in login window? (this is david.gracieeux also)

Hi first of all, it helps to know what you have: which exact model of g4 Powerbook as there are many, & specs like Cpu? Ram? Space on HardDrive? Which version of Mac OS is on there now?
There are very specific system requirements for Leopard, see here: http://www.apple.com/macosx/techspecs/
Is your PB at least 867MHz?

Have you tried a re-start in Safe Mode?

Also, check out Yahoo groups for g4 powerbook, and Apple Discussions for more info:
      http://www.apple.com/support/powerbook/ and

      Hope that helps,
