I recently was on an unfamiliar website (not porn) and clicked on a link. Immediately, a program known as Antivirus 2008 popped up and said my computer was infected with viruses that if not taken care of quickly would cause my computer to crash. I followed the steps it told me to (install this, run that) and finally it scanned my computer and said I had 43 viruses, worms, etc. When I clicked on "Remove" a new link popped up saying that I had to pay $50 to get the real version of Antivirus 2008 to remove the viruses. I then used my own antivirus prgram which got rid of a few things. Now though, when I'm on the internet and go to a new page (familiar ones like yahoo) Antivirus 2008 says the page could be harmful and wont let me proceed. It keeps telling me to get rid of the 43 viruses. I just want my computer to run well. What should I do?
It almost seems like Antivirus 2008 is the real virus as it keeps blocking me
