My computer recently became very slow. The desktop is very loud and noist, like it is strained or overworked. Whenever i play a computer game the computer usage goes up to 100%, and when i play online games i now have major lag problems. I have never had lag problems b4 this week. I have heard that antivirus software can make online game playing slow, if so how can i uninstall it? What could be wrong with my comp and how can i fix it?

If you have the latest Norton, that is your problem, it's a RAM hog! Other than that, check for spyware.

Do system clean then uninstall all old or unused programs then defragment your hard drive… Dont uninstall antivirus if you must just disable it while playing games..

I would wager on what you've said that you have a spyware/hijacker problem.
I would start by installing and running the following programs.
1. Avast! anti virus (remove the old one first)
2. Spybot Search and destroy
3. Adaware
That should cover most of them but if that doesnt work then the problem may be to extensive to fix and you may need to format your PC and put Windows XP back on although that needs to be done correctly else the problem will just reapear.
