Hi i have Norton 2007 on my Dell laptop and I want to make it so that it says i have like another year left on my subscription, even if I dont get the updates thats fine. I dont care about the updates, or the antivirus itself but my parents wont let me keep my laptop unless im “keeping it safe” with norton. I just need it to say I have like a year or two left on my subscription instead of 32 days. I dont wanna do anything illegal i just want it to say I have that much time left even if i dont.

The updates are essential to your machines security.
Personally, I would recommend removing Norton and replacing it with Avast anti-virus which better definitions, anti-spyware and anti-rootkit built in, faster and more reliable and it’s free, only requiring a valid email address to send your free license to and renew annually at no charge:

You can try uninstalling and reinstalling it. If you have a registry repair program, remove all traces of it on your system. Otherwise you may have to pay for a new subscription, I did!

Without updates, your AV program is just wasting space on your hard disk. S your parents know better than you do, BIG suprise.!!!!
Grow up!!,
Act responsibly and install a free AV program, there are plenty about, Avast, AVG, Comodo.
