During a Norton System Scan, my computer crashed and I had to reboot. Now Windows cannot load and I get a blue screen error message saying I need to uninstall the Virus scan program. Since I cannot get into Windows, I can't figure out how to do it. Anyone know how to uninstall the Norton program without using Windows? Thanks.
I have tried rebooting into Safe mode and safe mode - networking. Both times, I get a series of command prompts and then it goes back to the same blue screen. Moral of the story, Compute won't even boot into safe mode.

have you tried going into safe-mode… whenever your computer is booting up press the F8 key before it gets to the windows loading screen and choose safe mode from the choices it gives you and then go to control panel add/remove programs and delete it from there.

Try booting in Safe Mode with Networking and running the Norton Removal Tool. To get into Safe Mode, reboot and then either hold down or tap the F8 key repeatedly while the computer is starting up. Then hopefully you can access the internet and go to the Norton page below. You have to choose the correct tool to run.

Don't do any additional surfing or anything while in Safe Mode, you are totally unprotected.
