I’m about to go insane.
The other day I installed the automatic update for Service Pack 3. It ended up screwing up my firewall and virus protection, wouldn’t let me turn it back on. I thought I fixed everything, but then this morning I went on my computer and it was all messed up, loaded with a ton of viruses. I had to install a clean installation of XP Service Pack 2. Now, I’m trying to get my notebook up to date with automatic updates, I have 81 I have to install. I don’t want to install Service Pack 3, but when I try to install the other updates manually, they don’t install, a message comes up saying the installation failed. Do I have install Service Pack 3 in order to download the previous updates I had prior to SP3?
Can someone please help me?
