my free trial version just expired so i decided to get the free avg version
but when i try to install i get to the part where it tells me to activate or type in my license number theres already a license number typed in it and all i need to do is put my user name and i did but it says its not valid and other stuff.
what do i do? and please don’t tell me or type in links cause i already and know where to download it.
and this avg message things pops up every time i restart my computer telling me to buy activate close or unistall avg
i try to unistall it but it tells me theres no product installed?
please help me.

You don’t have to register a username for the free version. So I suggest not to enter it.

Like you said, it is expired. if you do not want to pay, you must uninstall it.
I would suggest that you get Avast Home Edition version 4,
which is free for personal use.
Avast is a very effective and free anti-virus program because it can do
a boot time scan in safe mode and it will remove the entire virus on your PC.
Even those viruses that hide inside the system restore folder.
Windows utilize a restore utility that backs up selected files
automatically to the System volume information /System Restore folder.
This means that an infected file could be stored there as a backup file,
and most anti-virus programs will be unable to delete these files. You
must disable the System Restore Utility to remove the infected files
from the folder if you use another brand of anti-virus. However, you do
not need to do so if you use Avast to do a boot up scan in safe mode.
