Help With McAfee Antivirus!! Pc isn’t protected and security center won’t load!!!! HELP!?

yesterday i downloaded mcafee antivirus for my pc. it finished installing and everything but now I keep getting a pop up saying my pc is not fully protected and the mcafee tray icon has a little red “x” over it. Also, when I try to open the mcafee security center, it won’t load! I’m getting really frustrated with this whole thing! someone please help!
