I have Windows XP Professional. When I was in school they had it there also. And whenever it wasn’t in use, it would go to the screen saver after a little bit, then go on standby or something. Then when you moved the mouse it would go to the computer account login screen… whether you logged out before it went to the screen saver/standby or not. Well on mine… it’ll go to the screen saver and standby like it’s supposed to… but I can’t get it to where it’ll go to the account login screen when I move the the mouse. Even when I go to Display -> Screen Saver -> then check the box that says “On resume, password protect” button… it still doesn’t do it. It locks the computer only to my account. No one else can use it without knowing my password. You can’t even press the ‘cancel’ button or to go to the account login screen. And I can’t find any other options to change it. Can anyone tell me how I fix this?? =/
I've tried the Power Options in the Control Panel… it still doesn't have anything for it. And the "Prompt for password when computer resumes from standby" box is checked. That still doesn't work.
